Heath Ledger together with Christopher Plummer, Tom Waits, Lily Cole and Andrew Garfield will take roles in the movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Pernagassus this December 25, in theaters.Watch it as you'll be amazed of this fantasy movie. With his traveling theater troupe, Parnassus offers audience members the chance to transcend reality by passing through a magical mirror.
The film begins in modern London, and from its opening shot – a dingy pan along a nondescript street at night, with one of Gilliam’s Shakespearean-looking tramps snoozing in a gutter to the far left – many of its disappointments are clear. To anyone not sympathetic to Gilliam’s flights of fantasy, Parnassus will reek of rambling self-indulgence but fans will welcome it as a return to what he does best.
